AGILITY FOUNDATION CLASSES AT Y2K9S

How to Register for a Class at Y2K9s

Agility Foundation Classes

Handling Skills 1.  You will learn the handling system taught at Y2K9s, with an emphasis of practicing this system over one and two-jump sequences.  Pre Requisite:  Basic Agility Skills 2.

Handling Skills 2.  This is a continuation of the handling system taught at Y2K9s.  The skills learned in Handling Skills 1 will be put to use in short sequences.  Pre Requisite:  Handling Skills 1.

Contacts & Weaves.  Contact and weave-pole training from the ground up.  Focus on transferring target behavior to contact equipment and back-chaining each contact obstacle.  Weave poles are taught using channels and 2x2 methods.  Appropriate for dogs with little to no contact & weave experience or those who want to retrain.  Pre Requisites:  Basic Agility Skills or comparable class.

This will be a multi-level C&W class so if you are struggling with C&W and want to join the group, you may do so. 

Jumping Skills.  This course is designed to help educate your dog on different situations for proper jumping.  This class will help your dog learn proper jumping form including how to set up their take off points and assist with efficiency before, during and after their jumps.  Your dog will learn how to collect on jumps when needed and turn on the jumps.  By making better choices, your dog will be more efficient and keep more bars up.  Pre Requisite:  Minimum of Handling Skills 1.  Open to any dog at any level above Handling Skills 1.

How to Register for a class at Y2K9s:

1. FOR AGILITY AND CONTROL UNLEASHED CLASSES ONLY - E-mail our Registrar (registrar@y2k9s.net) to inquire if there is space available in your desired class and to reserve a spot
2. Send in the appropriate registration form and check to the corresponding  registrar within five days of reserving a spot, or your reservation will be cancelled.
