Kids need Roxy. Roxy needs you. (plus free lunch!)

For 20 years, Roxy™ Therapy Dogs has been helping the children of Bucks County. You may have heard about them from their roots—their reading program—but Roxy™ Therapy Dogs are so much more.

Roxy volunteers support approximately 3,200 children a week in schools. Additional support is provided weekly to the Courthouse, Pedia Manor, secondary schools, universities, and local community events. We help kids of every age learn to read and reduce stress and anxiety.

The requests for our volunteer teams keep growing and we want to ensure we never have to say ‘no’ to a child in need. That’s where you come in.

Please join Roxy Therapy Dogs on Saturday December 6th from 12-1 PM at Y2K9s.

If you’ve ever thought your dog might make a nice therapy dog, want to learn more about what a therapy dog does, or already have a therapy dog and want to learn more about Roxy, please join us.

  • Learn what a therapy dog is, what makes a good therapy dog, how to become a therapy dog team, and about Roxy programs you can get involved in
  • Meet some of our dogs and talk to our volunteers (including Y2K9s members and students)
  • Meet faculty whose kids are impacted by the work we do
  • Get lunch on us!

Who should join us:

  • Y2K9s students from any class interested in learning more.
  • Y2K9s teachers who would like to help our mission by spotting prospective therapy dogs in their classes.
  • People who are thinking of taking therapy dog classes at Y2K9s and want to learn more.

***Well behaved dogs are welcome to be crated during this session, but this is not a dog training session.
