Starting in the zoological world in 2009, Tamar has worked with animal behavior in clinical and private facilities before becoming the Director of Dog Programs for New Lease on Life USA. After several years of program development and running three prison training programs, she left to teach future animal professionals at Harcum College where she is the Assistant Program Director of Animal Center Management with a masters degree in Animal Welfare and Behavior. Tamar also owns a private practice focused on rehabilitation for dogs with anxiety, aggression, and reactivity, working with local veterinary behaviorists. She has two current therapy and competition/show dogs and one semi retired show and sport dog; all are bullmastiffs and  together have earned over 20 titles and more to come! Tamar says, “I love seeing people and their dogs find their groove together as a team appreciating who they each are as individuals.”
