Got a dog that worries about stuff? Or can’t focus on you because of spooky things in the environment? World-renowned Leslie McDevitt will share with you how to quickly and effectively help your dog feel and function better using the Pattern Games from her most recent book Control Unleashed: Reactive to Relaxed.

In this webinar you will learn many variations of Pattern Games and the different contexts in which you can use them. Patterns are a predictable, repetitive set of rules that lower anxiety by telling the dog what to expect and when. They are a way for an anxious dog to control his experience, enabling him to direct his behavior modification by communicating start, stop, or go towards or away from something. Leslie makes these games fun, simple, and confidence-building for participants at both ends of the leash.

A longtime Y2K9s instructor, Leslie McDevitt MLA, CDBC, CPDT-KA is the author of the internationally-acclaimed Control Unleashed series of books and DVDs. Her books have been translated into many languages, and she has helped people all over the world learn how to use her science-based and empowering methods to help companion, performance, and working dogs learn how to functional optimally, without stress, in very challenging environments. Control Unleashed has helped reactive companion dogs on neighborhood walks to highly competitive performance dogs to K9 patrol and detection dogs. Leslie is also proud to be a guest speaker for the Clicker Expo and a consultant for the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.
