Virtual Advanced Canine Manners – Facebook Classroom with Weekly Zoom meetings on demand

Seven week session starts September 8, 2020

For dogs who have completed Basic Canine Manners (or passed an equivalent proficiency evaluation). ACM will focus on more advanced at-home manners skills. This class emphasizes delayed food rewards, removing the food lure, rock solid sit/down and stay/recall, along with Leave It and techniques to prevent jumping on strangers.

Prerequisite: Basic Canine Manners or equivalent.

The session will be 7 weeks in length and offered on the Facebook platform on a private classroom page. Weekly instructional videos with written directions will be posted. Weekly live Zoom sessions on demand will be held for student questions.

The instructor will email you prior to the start of the session with information on how to access the virtual class. You will need to have a Facebook account to join the class.

Virtual Classroom: Rally Skills - All Levels - Google Drive Classroom with Weekly Zoom meetings on demand

Seven Week session starts Tuesday, September 8, 2020

For dogs who have completed the equivalent of Advanced Canine Manners. This Rally class is open to teams at any level, from beginners through Masters. Pick the track that best fits your skill set and follow it through. You will have your own folder to copy your videos. Weekly Zoom meetings with be offered as needed and is not a requirement of the class. Included will be tracks on how to set up and work through the Novice and Intermediate At Home trials.

No special software needed for Google Drive – just the Google Drive App. Compatible on android and apple devices and Windows-based and Apple-based computers.

Virtual Classroom: Parkour with weekly Zoom meetings

Wednesdays at 9:00 am

Six week session starts August 5, 2020

A new sport that is good for dogs of all ages and skill levels. Also called urban agility, this sport uses everyday things in the environment as obstacles to interact with. Your dog learns the difference between getting all 4 feet on or two feet on different objects. Going around things is a fun way to exercise your dog when stuck in the house. Backing up onto a step, going under things, and being comfortable on something that moves are just a few of the skills included.

Good for dogs of all ages it promotes body awareness, self control, confidence, and partnership. And it’s a lot of fun. This online class will concentrate on using things commonly found in homes as obstacles.
