Effective July 22, masks will be optional. However, any instructor may request students to wear a mask during class.

Teach your dog to understand concepts and take your training and your dog’s comprehension to a whole new level. Concept training teaches your dog to make choices based on rules that you have taught that can be applied in different situations. It allows them to do things they have learned under conditions they have never seen before. This is a course for experienced dogs and handlers. We will focus on Match to Sample, Left – Right, and Large – small.
To take the course dogs need to have a solid default behavior we can use for stationing (sit, down, mat), a release cue, and at least 5 different behaviors that can be modified. Some possibilities are targeting (foot and/or nose), paw, retrieve, crate, mat, spin, jump, getting on to something with 2 or 4 feet. You will also need at least 2 pairs of identical toys. The pairs should look different from each other. Examples are 2 balls, 2 discs, 2 ropes.
